The Flooring System is produced using the latest aircrete manufacturing technology and offers all the benefits of a suspended floor but with all the attributes of aircrete. These precast reinforced aircrete elements create a strong, robust floor that is very quick to install, and can reduce both the time on site and the cost of the installed floor.

Being of aircrete the Flooring System offers excellent thermal insulation, reducing the need for additional insulation to meet the requirements of Thermal Building Regulations. Using Celcon Foundation Blocks below DPC and walling blocks to build either cavity or solid external walls can eliminate thermal bridging across different materials.

Once laid the Flooring System incorporating Celcon tongue-and-groove infill blocks form a secure and solid platform to build from straight away. Services are easily accommodated, however these must be considered at the design stage to ensure the maximum productivity benefits are achieved. To complete the floor structure, a simple grout is required (1:4 sand:cement by volume). H+H UK is currently developing a pre-mixed bagged alternative which will require just water to be added on site. Finishes can be applied directly to the elements, including a minimum 20mm cement:sand screed.
