Celcon Block Solar Grade

This highly efficient block (thermal conductivity of just 0.11 W/mK) is sufficiently loadbearing for two storey buildings and can be used below DPC.  Identified by the distinctive painted blue line, Celcon Solar Grade has a compressive strength of 2.9N/mm2 and is third-party accredited for use as follows:

Celcon Block Standard Grade

Celcon Block Standard Grade is BBA certified and has a compressive strength of 3.6N/mm2. Its all-round performance allows a 100mm Standard Grade Celcon Block to be used consistently throughout a build, eliminating on-site confusion.  This versatile product can be used in the following applications:

Celcon Plus Blocks

Celcon Plus Blocks are a longer (630mm) alternative to the to the standard (440 x 215mm) Celcon Block and comes in a range of thicknesses which are suitable for the same applications.

Celcon Foundation Blocks

Available in Standard Grade (3.6N/mm2) and High Strength Grade (7.3N/mm2).  Foundation Blocks can be used to support 3 storey constructions. They are suitable for the support of solid or cavity walls, framed construction or suspended floors, including beam and block.

Jumbo Bloks

Jumbo Bloks are produced with the latest technology, offering a high degree of dimensional accuracy, making them ideal for use with Celfix mortar (Mortar).

Jumbo Bloks are made to sizes of 610 x 270mm (630 x 250 mm) and are available in Solar Grade (2.9N/mm2), Standard Grade (3.6N/mm2), High Strength Grade (7.3N/mm2) and Super Strength Grade (8.7N/mm2).

Celcon Elements

Celcon Elements are storey-high panels of aircrete, designed to allow an exceptionally fast build method.  Manufactured to the design storey height of a house with a width of 600mm and a thickness of 100mm, Elements are designed to be craned into place onto a bed of mortar on standard foundations. Blocks are joined using Thin-Joint Mortar with 2mm (3mm) joints, providing an extremely airtight finish and panels can be cut on site to accommodate design details.

Celcon Block High Strength and Super Strength Grade

H+H’s Celcon Blocks High Strength Grade (7.3N/mm2 – identified with a black stripe on the block) and Super Strength Grade (8.7N/mm2 – identified with a red stripe on the block) are ideal where higher compressive strengths are required such as in the foundations and lower storeys of three storey buildings, piers under high vertical loads and in multi-storey buildings.
