The Cameron Close development on the Isle of Wight, built using H+H’s Thin-Joint blockwork, has been shortlisted in the prestigious Building Performance Awards run by the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers.
These awards are distinctive in the construction industry as they recognise the performance of buildings in use – in this case the dwellings have been monitored for two years since completion by independent consultants WARM. This monitoring process provides robust evidence that the homes perform absolutely as intended, providing very high levels of energy efficiency and low running costs for the occupants.
H+H’s Thin- Joint System of aircrete blocks and Celfix Mortar was a key element in the construction of this Passivhaus development, comprising 16 semi-detached houses and 12 sheltered accommodation apartments on the Isle of Wight.
