H+H and SIG collaboration wins innovation award

The SIG I House, a collaborative housebuilding system created by H+H UK Ltd and SIG Offsite has won the Product Innovation award at the recent Barratt Developments’ Supplier Excellence Awards.

The innovative system, incorporating Celcon Elements from H+H, provides all the speed of offsite construction with the familiarity of a traditional build.

Barratt Developments has been using the SIG I-House on a number of sites across the UK and last week presented H+ H Managing Director Calum Forsyth and SIG Roofspace Managing Director Kevin Sherlock with the prestigious award.

H+H is especially proud to win this award as the company prides itself on its innovative approach to manufacturing and product design.  Celcon Elements now joins the product range within the H+H Thin-Joint System, encapsulating the H+H Modern Methods of Construction offer to customers.

The SIG I-House, installed by the SIG Offsite team, uses Celcon Elements to produce the watertight shell of a domestic house, quickly and efficiently.  Elements are craned into place and fixed using H+H element mortar.

Celcon Elements are manufactured from the same intrinsic material as aircrete blocks and have the same performance advantages including excellent thermal performance with reduced heat loss at thermal bridges.
