You will play a key role in contributing to H+H's environmental and social responsibility goals to help achieve our goal of carbon neutrality by 2050.

About the role:

In the role of Sustainability Technician, your tasks will include collecting, analysing and sharing ESG data, which is crucial for advancing our sustainability initiatives and compiling insightful reports. You will create and manage a well-maintained, comprehensive Environmental Product Declaration's (EPDs) library and a Social & Governance (ESG) data repository to refer to easily when reporting.

Your contributions will extend across various departments at H+H, where you will facilitate ethical audits and questionnaires, ensure adherence to ESG regulatory requirements, and assist in formulating strategies aimed at carbon footprint reduction. Your participation in tasks within UKAS-accredited laboratories will be vital to our sustained commitment to ESG and sustainability goals.

Moreover, your engagement in external industry events will be instrumental in broadening your professional acumen, enabling you to collaborate effectively with peers both locally and globally to fulfil our collective ESG ambitions.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Compile, update and maintain a detailed record and summary of H+H’s sustainability initiatives.
•    Identify and highlight potential ESG risks and opportunities.
•    Manage and coordinate sustainability data requests and assist in improving data collection processes.
•    Gather Carbon Accounting data and establishing objectives for carbon footprint reduction.
•    Support and enhance H+H as a pioneer in the sustainable Aircrete product market.
•    Strategically position H+H to meet and leverage future environmental regulatory requirements.
•    Drive results by setting ambitious goals, measuring progress, and continuously improving.

About You:
•    You will be qualified or studying towards a degree level in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Materials Engineering OR have equivalent experience. 
•    It is desirable to have completed carbon or environmental training (e.g. GHG accounting or IEMA), also to have experience in working in a laboratory testing environment.
•    You will have a passion for sustainability and keep up to date of relevant new developments and legislation. 
•    You will have a good attention to detail, excellent time management and be able to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently. 
•    You will be proficient in Microsoft Office and be able to present and write to a diverse stakeholder group. 
•    You will demonstrate adaptability, resilience and embrace change in our dynamic environment, whilst fostering positive relationship.
